The Institute for Research in the Humanities is pleased to offer one Biruté Ciplijauskaité Fellowship in Peninsular Spanish Poetry for 2020-2021 to be awarded to a scholar from outside the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thanks to a generous bequest by the late Biruté Ciplijauskaité, John Bascom Professor Emerita in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and Senior Fellow of the Institute for Research in the Humanities (IRH) of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the IRH is able to offer this post-doctoral fellowship to a scholar working in peninsular Spanish poetry.

The Ciplijauskaité Fellow is expected to be in residence throughout the academic year (except for short research trips, lectures, conferences, etc.) and may extend their residency through the following summer on a non-stipendary basis. However, the fellowship may not be deferred for any reason. The award provides a stipend of $57,000, office space, support services, and access to all university facilities.

Applications are due Thursday, Monday, December 2, 2019.
Notification of the award will occur March 2020. Review full call for applications below for more information. Only applications submitted online through Interfolio will be considered.
