The Department of Hispanic Studies of the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY, United States) invites applications for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Hispanic Studies in the Special Title Series as a teaching and administration specialist to cover the increasing demands of the undergraduate program. The colleague who fills this position will be primarily responsible for the administration of the first two years of instruction and will also be a teaching specialist qualified to teach courses in Spanish cultural and literary studies, general linguistics, and teaching of Spanish. Normally this position entails a 1/2 or 2/1 teaching load per academic year. Courses will primarily range from the 100 to 400 levels and the possibility of teaching SPA 553 "Teaching of Spanish." Candidates for this position will have a Ph.D. in Spanish, or allied field, and proven excellence in teaching and administration of the undergraduate curriculum.
